Objectives:

1. To carryout High resolution multiparameter Helicopter borne geophysical surveys for sponsorers like Atomic Minerals Directorate (AMD) and others. The geophysical methods consist of the time domain EM (TEM), radiometric and magnetic surveys. In addition to sponsored task, exploration for groundwater, base metals and oil will also be taken up.

2. Development of new interpretational techniques for airborne geophysical data and reprocessing and reinterpretation of already acquired and available data sets.

3. Integrated geophysical studies for evolution of structure, mineralization and energy resources beneath the southern and eastern margins of Deccan Volcanic Province.
