OBJECTIVES:

 

•  One- and two-dimensional subsidence studies of the Bay

   of Bengal sedimentary basin using Seismic reflection,refraction and well log data and factors controlling the subsidence pattern.

•  To carryout process oriented gravity modeling in order to

   understand the time evolution of the sedimentary basin.

•  Study and analysis of structural and tectonic elements
    including neotectonics in Bay of Bengal along with
    subsidence and temperature history for identifying leads to
    environment favorable for hydrocaron generation,
    migration and accumulation in the basin.
