Objectives:

 

To understand the seismogenisis of earthquakes in SCR and along the Kopili lineament through mapping of seismically active faults, characterisation of source mechanism and velocity structure of these faults. Seismic Hazard assessment studies in Northeast India and South Indian peninsular shield by synthesis of response spectra and ground motion using semi-empirical Green’s function approach.
